This site, https://darbydivesin.com, is a personal travel and scuba diving blog. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit and how it’s used.

Comments and accounts
When you leave a comment or create an account, I collect the details in the form (such as your name and email address), plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. Comments and the information attached to them are kept so I can recognize and approve follow-up comments. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture; its privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public next to it.

Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your email address so I can send you updates about new posts. Emails are sent through MailPoet. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

Cookies
This site uses cookies. If you comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for a year so you don’t have to retype them. Logging in sets temporary cookies that remember your login and screen preferences. Third-party services on the site, including advertising partners, may also set cookies.

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely. Registered users’ profile information is kept until the account is deleted. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.
