About

Hi, I'm Darby

I grew up in land-locked Alberta, Canada, and ever since I was 17, I've known there was more to the world than the corporate ladder. I wanted to see it for myself, not just through my phone screen.

I started this blog because I grew tired of seeing bloggers and influencers sell the "perfect" photo or story for your feed. Here, I'll share real stories, advice, and the little hacks I pick up along the way. I hope to inspire you in your own travels and help you prepare for not if, but when, things go wrong.

I've been lucky enough to visit 27 countries and live in two that couldn't have been farther from home. Every place has its own kind of beauty, but travel also comes with challenges people often forget to mention.

Right now, I'm working toward a simple goal: visiting 30 countries before I turn 30.

If you like honest travel stories, practical tips, and a little adventure, you're in the right place. I'm here to share the real side of travel, diving, and all the little moments in between.
